It is still smoggy - when I get out of the elevator to go to my room (20th floor) - the hallway has a mist/cloud. It even leaves a bad or weird taste in your mouth, someone described it as subway (London Underground) air. So the poor air quality and kind of the busy-ness of the last week and a half made me decide to skip the geomorph of Delhi field trip I signed up for tomorrow. I will use the time to get caught up on email and sleep.
Another picture from yesterday - Su and I had talks in the same session, and we were both on the Deccan field trip.
Outside Vigyan Bhawan (conference venue) this afternoon - smoggy.
View this afternoon/early evening of the traffic and smog - yep still there.
What it looked like from my hotel room this evening (~7:00pm). The food at the hotel is really expensive, but it is only okay, so we ventured out for dinner again at my new favourite place.
Despite the dodgy German standing outside, Khurana Kebab & Rolls, is fantastic. Tonight was the busiest its been - but the kitchen crew were fast and friendly. It did get a bit crowded though.
Anne was eventually allowed to leave.
And we completed the evening routine with a stop at the beer shop - the rules or at least the practices seem more relaxed here - I got the beers last night.
Walking back to the hotel, you can tell it is still smoggy - this photo needs the opposite of a filter.

Why are you so far behind your friends? Are they making you carry all the beer and Kebabs? Oh wait maybe it is so you can take the photo. Nevermind. xo
ReplyDeleteDo you hold your breath and run? I noticed there seemed to be a bird perched outside your window yesterday ... trying to get high enough to find the good air perhaps... We really enjoy reading your posts and seeing the shots of amazing places. Wowser!
